~ My college played a pivotal role in my growth, offering ample opportunities for development. Upon entering college, I was initially unknown with few friends. However, by actively participating in competitions, I gained recognition and popularity. I excelled in inter-college events such as poster making, spot painting, and poetry, earning awards and representing SHGC at prestigious institutions. Additionally, my leadership qualities were acknowledged by teachers, leading to me heading the NSS camp and gaining invaluable experiences. From a shy newcomer to a confident all-rounder, I've evolved significantly. Grateful for the support, I aim to continue participating in competitions and making my college proud.
My journey at Sant Hirdaram Girls College began in 2019 when I decided to pursue B.Sc (C.S) after facing setbacks in JEE. Initially, I lacked confidence, but with the support of my college and active participation in events, I found my stride. Despite the challenges brought by COVID-19, I didn't let it deter me; instead, I utilized the time to pursue online courses and excel in inter-collegiate competitions. Winning titles like "Miss SHGC" and "Best Science Student" boosted my morale. Securing placements in renowned companies and leading the NSS Unit Camp were significant milestones. Opting for M.Sc for post-graduation, I aim to continue my success, grateful to SHGC for shaping me into the person I am today and setting a benchmark for future achievers.
Ayushi Makhija, hailing from Maihar, Madhya Pradesh, embarked on her journey to Bhopal to overcome introversion and acquire new skills. Enrolling in Sant Hirdaram Girls College for BBA, she conquered stage fright with ample opportunities and supportive faculty. Exploring cultural programs, she showcased her talents in painting, cartooning, and art, winning both intra and inter-collegiate competitions. Participating in NSS camps and street plays further enriched her experiences. Her remarkable performances earned her college-wide recognition, all thanks to her faculty's unwavering support. Ayushi aims to continue her success into her second and third years, grateful for her teachers' guidance.
In September 2021, I left my small hometown to pursue a B.Com Honors degree in Bhopal. Throughout my first year, I prioritized attending classes while refining my skills. By my second year, I joined the literary committee, actively engaging to enhance my speaking abilities. Participating in inter-college competitions further boosted my confidence, leading to achievements and recognition. It was during this period that I unearthed my talent for acting. Now, in my third year, I am privileged to serve as the President of our Student Council, marking the realization of my dream life journey.
Shema Mehfooz, an alumna of SHGC, reflects on her transformative college journey filled with remarkable achievements. Guided by supportive professors, she flourished in various public speaking competitions as part of the literature committee, winning accolades across Bhopal. Her crowning achievements include triumphs in state and inter-college debates, facing daunting juries and winning significant prizes. Recognition at national-level essay competitions highlighted her journey. SHGC's holistic approach to student development, underpinned by dedicated faculty and values-based education, empowered Shema to become the confident individual she is today. She expresses heartfelt gratitude to all mentors who contributed to her success.
