Sant Hirdaram Girls College's Entrepreneurship Cell nurtures the spirit of entrepreneurship among students, offering knowledge, training, and support. Join the E-Cell community today!

In order to nurture the idea of Entrepreneurship among the students of SHGC, Bhopal started an Entrepreneurial cell in the year 2017.

Entrepreneurship Cell

Entrepreneurship Cell of Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Bhopal was constituted for the newly admitted undergraduate Ist year students of all the streams on 31st July, 2017, in order to nurture the idea of entrepreneurship among the students.

Mission

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell has been established with the objective of creating, fostering and promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship among the students. E-Cell is committed to build a strong platform for the budding entrepreneurs.

Vision

The vision is to guide the students to take entrepreneurship as a career, as a path to success, as a journey of wisdom.

Objectives of E-Cell

  • To develop necessary knowledge and skills among the students in EDPSs.
  • To impart basis managerial knowledge and understanding;
  • To provide post-training assistance;
  • To develop and strengthen entrepreneurial quality and motivation
  • To diversity the source of entrepreneurship;
  • To know the pros and cons of being an entrepreneur.

The Cell aims at creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the campus. It aims to develop and support new and future entrepreneurs thereby striving towards building the capacity of a technology entrepreneur, assessing demand opportunity, developing a marketable product, patenting and licensing, building the right team, raising money and creating value for customer and ventures. The college aims to set up an incubation centre that gives a forum for students to translate an idea into a fundable technology business. The cell also has an objective of equipping the faculty who are interested in and passionate about implementing programs by providing various training with the help of NEN and other networks.

Since its inception, the Cell has taken following initiatives for the benefit of Students and Faculty Members:

  • The E-Cell held a student orientation programme every year in the first week of August which had a congregation of students aspiring to contribute towards development of E-Cell in the campus.
  • A guest lecture on Entrepreneurship was organized every year that was delivered by an eminent Social Entrepreneurs like Dr. Hanif Mewati ,
  • Raman Gujral Director at EDII(Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India),Dr. Deepak Motwani DGM at AISECT group, Bhopal which was attended by students and faculties.
  • On-line classes and activites are organised on regular basis by E-cell for the students.

In the previous session 2017-18, 170 students were enrolled in E-Cell, whereas in session 2018-19, 352 students enrolled in E-cell, in session 2019-20, 256 students enrolled. All the students successfully completed their E-cell Online Classes and each students provided the “Certificate of Participation”.
