Sant Hirdaram Girls College's Language Department offers Hindi and English as subjects, with a language laboratory for audiovisual language learning and a Literary Committee to enhance literary skills. Explore the creative expression in the wall magazine "Srijan".

Language Department comprises of Hindi and English as subject. Language Department has a Language Laboratory, which is an audiovisual installation used in modern teaching methods to learn different languages. The language lab is developed on the methodology of LSRW Skills. Another feather on the cap of Language Department is Literary Committee. The main objective of Literary Committee is to enhance the literary skills of students, to bring to light the hidden talents among the students and conduct various literary various events providing a platform for the students to come up with their not so known skills. Another feather is wall magazine “Srijan” which is a medium to express the creativity of the students.

LITERARY COMMITTEE

The literary committee offers a competing platform for the knowledge of aspiring students. It promises to cultivate a passion for quizzing, debating, creative writing, literature, elocution, speech etc. among the students.

GOAL/OUTCOMES

  • Literary committee is to develop self-efficiency and confidence and would help to enhance the general knowledge base.
  • Works in tandem to benefit students in the disciplines of writing and speaking by conducting events that are both instructional and enjoyable.
  • Sharpening skills of logical thinking.
  • It develops excellent communication skills and teaches students to think spontaneously.

OBJECTIVES 

  • Student will learn to analyse issues and come up with solutions.
  • Students will develop organization skills and persuasive skills.
  • It builds beneficial skills that are much needed in various workplaces.
  • Being able to express yourself clearly is so important in group work. If you have ideas you want other to accept, you need to be able to persuade literary committee aims to help better expressions.
  • Helps to prepare students to work in a global community by teaching them about social, political and moral issues.
  • Build confidence to be at ease not only professionally but also socially.
  • To increase daily awareness and helps boost positive habit like reading and independent research.
