Department of Botany of Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Bhopal was established in July 2006 and first batch of B.Sc. was admitted in 2006. Department has well established laboratory with facility to conduct all experiments as per the Syllabus of Barkatullah University Bhopal. There are adequate reference books and journals of Botany in the college library. The germ plasm of the flowering plant is conserved by the department in the form of seeds of wild, cultivated and ornamental plants.
Students of Botany have showcased excellent performance in their examination. The result in Botany was 100% in I year, II year and III year during the last 14 year.
Eight meritorious students of B. Sc. Botany have got their rank in top 10 in the Barkatullah University.
Ms. Ritika Parihar, B.Sc. III year Botany participated in NSS Pre- Republic Day Camp 2020 at Dr. Bheemrao Ambedkar University Khandari Parisar Agra U.P. From 25th November-4th December 2020.
