The Department of Chemistry is one of the most learning oriented booming department of the College. It was established in 2006 with just 26 students in B. Sc. 1st year and one faculty member. The growth of the department has been tremendous as it is one of the strongest learning centers of the college.  

Our team of faculty is motivated with a strong sense of commitment towards teaching and research. The department has the goal to teach beyond the books and learn from everyday examples. Our students reflect this with good results in the UG and PG program. The research interest includes but is not limited to, Photochemistry, Organo-Metallic Chemistry, Co-ordination, Bioninorganic Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry. The department is also a recognised Research Center by the Barkatullah University of Bhopal. 

The department is well equipped with laboratories for conducting research experiments for both UG and PG students. The labotories is equipped with various research equipments such as Flame Photometer, Spectrophotometer, Water Analysis Kit-pH Meter, Turbidity Meter,  Photochemical Analysis,  Magnetic Stirrers, to list down a few. 

Our department aims at providing understanding in depth of the subject, with positive motivation and scope of learning at every possible opportunity.
