The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at SHGC is committed to ensuring academic quality, implementing modern teaching methods, and enhancing student performance.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Sant Hirdaram Girls College (SHGC) serves as the central body responsible for planning, guiding, and monitoring quality assurance and enhancement initiatives. Established as per the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the IQAC is committed to promoting a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement across all areas of the institution.

Objectives of IQAC

1. Academic Excellence: To ensure quality enhancement and sustenance in academic programs offered by the college.
2. Quality Culture: To promote a culture of quality consciousness among faculty, staff, and students.
3. Best Practices Implementation: To institutionalize innovative and best practices in teaching, learning, and evaluation processes.
4. Stakeholder Satisfaction: To enhance the satisfaction level of stakeholders, including students, parents, alumni, and employers.
5. Capacity Building: To empower faculty and staff for professional development and better service delivery. 

6. Preparation for Accreditation: To prepare the college for timely accreditation and re-accreditation by agencies like NAAC.

Functions of IQAC

1. Policy Development: Formulate and implement policies for quality enhancement in academic and administrative domains.
2. Feedback Mechanism: Develop and utilize a structured feedback mechanism from students, parents, and other stakeholders for continuous improvement.
3. Workshops and Seminars: Organize quality-oriented seminars, workshops, and faculty development programs.
4. Documentation: Maintain records of institutional activities and quality enhancement initiatives for NAAC and other accreditation bodies.
5. Benchmarking: Set benchmarks for academic, research, and administrative performance and monitor their achievement.
6. Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR): Prepare and submit AQAR to NAAC as part of the accreditation process.
7. Community Engagement: Encourage participation in community service through NSS, NCC, and other initiatives.
8. Promoting Research: Foster a research culture by providing faculty and students with resources and opportunities for innovative research.
